About Openflyworld

Openflyworld Uncrewed System Corp is an Alberta-based Canadian company focused on flight-control technology, uncrewed systems development and component integration.

Operating under the Openflyworld brand, we develop flight-control hardware and integrate sensors, communications, onboard computers and application-specific components for custom uncrewed systems.

Our Technical Focus

Flight control is central to our work. Our development focuses on hardware that connects real-time control with the sensing and computing capabilities needed for more advanced applications.

Our Openflyworld H743 V1 flight controller is built around the STM32H743 microcontroller and incorporates two ICM-42688-P inertial measurement units. Its communication interfaces and programmable I/O provide a platform for peripheral integration and UAS development.

The platform is designed for use with Betaflight, ArduPilot, PX4 and INAV. Specific functions depend on the firmware, board configuration and connected hardware.

System Integration

We work on connecting flight-control platforms with navigation sensors, telemetry equipment, companion computers and custom payloads.

Integration with platforms such as Raspberry Pi and NVIDIA Jetson allows higher-level software to process sensor data and exchange commands and telemetry with the flight controller. This provides a foundation for computer vision, data processing and autonomous-system development.

These applications require suitable hardware, software and validation for the intended operating conditions.

Our Development Approach

We build on established open-source technologies and commercially available components. This approach allows us to focus development effort on hardware design, compatibility and application-specific integration.

Modular design supports component replacement and upgrades as requirements evolve. We consider component availability, maintainability and lifecycle cost when selecting technologies for a system.

Current Development

Our H743 V1 flight-control hardware has undergone laboratory testing. We continue to develop its integration capabilities and document testing as the platform progresses.

We distinguish laboratory validation from operational flight testing. Further testing is required to establish performance in specific aircraft configurations and operating environments.
